Hit the Ground Running (HTGR) is a 2-year, cohort based professional development program for postdoctoral scholars at the University of Washington. HTGR uses social media and auto-photography to consolidate scientific identity formation, a skills-based active learning model to prepare postdocs for scientific careers, and a power-sharing consciousness based on contemporary research on culturally aware mentoring.
